Mason Turns 5

I can't believe Mason is 5.  He has been counting down the
days to his birthday for months.  It just couldn't come soon
enough.  Me on the other hand would like to just keep him
little forever!  We kept asking him what he wanted to do for
his birthday and he would always say, "you know mom, call
Mickey". (Mickey Mouse) I guess I should have known it!
Mason is such a fun kid, always smiling and having fun.
He has so much personality packed in his little body and
never leaves us with a dull moment!  We love you little man.

He is so fun to have surprises for, because he gets excited
over everything.  We could give him a box of rocks and
he wouldthink it was the coolest thing ever. (In fact Chase
did give hima bunch of rocks, and 25 pennies and
he was thrilled)

He woke up to a trail of balloons leading out of his room to some presents. We only let him open 1 that morning and then made him wait until later for the rest. (we are mean parents, just ask him)
The other thing he was sure he was getting was breakfast in bed.  How do you not give it to him!  He thought he was so cool, especially because he got it in mom and dads bed!

We had a fun construction party with some of his friends.  I made this way cute cake. If you haven't tried chocolate cake with chocolate frosting topped with crushed oreos, you really should!!

We got each kid an apron and a couple tools and we showed them how to use each one.  They sanded a piece of wood.
They measured the wood
They are really cute
They hammered nails and screwed in screws.
Mason and his buddies: Andrew, Jaxson, Mason, Logan, Teiken, Jack and Jaron
He is so excited for his presents
Dallin made him a homemade card and $5 out of his piggy bank. (Mason, thanks for being such a good brother I love you, Dallin}
The kids all got a construction truck and they made their own construction site in the dirt.  They got really creative.
Mason & Jaxson driving their trucks
He finally got to finish opening present
We had to get one picture with his mom to prove I was really there!
Everytime we went to walmart the hot wheels suitcase was what he always wanted to take home.  He was so excited.
We finished the night off with some pizza and root beer and movie night!  I think they were all ready for bed at this point!
